Christian Service policy change
Student Handbook Addendum
2010 – 2011 Academic Year
The Christian Service requirements for each student have been amended to the following for the current academic year. These amended requirements will supersede the policy contained within the student handbook.
Freshmen students are required to complete one school sponsored Christian Service project.
Sophomore students are required to complete two school sponsored Christian Service projects.
Junior and Senior students are required to complete two school sponsored Christian Service projects along with five (5) hours of service. These hours can be completed either in the community, the student’s parish or church, or additional school sponsored projects. Hours must meet the Christian Service requirements set forth by the school administration.
A school sponsored project is defined as an event or group of events which have been created by, scheduled by and sponsored by the Christian Service Department of SBHS. A calendar of scheduled service project opportunities will be published for the Fall and the Spring as well as posted on the Campus Ministry webpage located under the Student Life tab on the SBHS website.
Please note that any student having difficulties with the scheduling of the sponsored projects is encouraged to schedule time with the Director of Christian Service to look for alternatives that will help you fulfill your obligations.
