MORALITY / social justice

This course is designed to instill in our students a foundation for Christian morality by examining virtues, conscience, and sin. The teachings of Scripture, Jesus, and the Church provide the basis for a moral decision-making process which students are encouraged to use with the real-life moral issues presented in the text as well as classroom activities and discussions..Our students are encouraged to become persons of character and to aid in building communities where living morally is the norm.

Catholic Social Teaching: Living and Learning Justice introduces high school students to issues surrounding the key principles of the Church's rich body of social teaching that comes to us from the strong tradition of the writings of the popes, especially since Pope Leo XIII. Catholic Social Teaching attempts to understand how societies work and the values that ought to guide them.
