United States History

American History is more than just memorizing dates and events; this course is designed to explore the formation of the American institution and values. We will begin with the exploration of the Americans and the Colonial era and continue to present day America. Different themes I hope to cover include culture & societal, diplomatic and international relations, and domestic politics & economics. We will be not only using our books, but also a variety of primary sources, political cartoons, video clips (on the scene and documentary), newspapers & network news, maps, and artifacts. By the end of the course you will be familiar with the evolution of America and most importantly, understand why and how we are were we are today.
