Computer Aided Drafting and design
Students will use TurboCAD 18 to create and edit objects in virtual space. Standard Drafting concepts will be use to depict real objects in Orthographic and Isometric views of real objects as used in manufacturing processes. Students will also be introduced Architectural concepts and standards as required in the Universal Building Code.
Coordinate systems are at the core of CAD design and extensively studied and practiced using several coordinate entry methods for defining object locations within the virtual space of the progam.
Students will use 3D Solid Modeling procedures to create models of machine parts earlier created in 2D using the information from the earlier drawings.
