SEVEN INDUCTED INTO ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME

The St. Bonaventure Athletic Hall of Fame opened its doors and welcomed in a new class of seven inductees at a two day event over the September 26 weekend.  The new inductees are Sam Benner (class of 1996), Erin Croasmun-Vanek (class of 1999), Lou Marietta (class of 1977), Marguerite Palmisano-Leon (class of 1982), Kevin Zoll (class of 1990) and former coaches Marsha Dedrick, and Dennis Johnson.

The inductees were honored at halftime of the St. Bonaventure-Crespi football game as each was introduced to thunderous applause as their accomplishments were read off over the PA system.  The celebration continued the following evening with a dinner in the Athletic Event Center.  Each inductee was introduced by someone close to the inductee and then each gave a induction speech of their own. They were presented with a commemorative Hall of Fame “Book Plaque” by Athletic Director Mike Gianelli. The event was attended by close to 100 people including past inductees to the Hall.
